Frequently Asked Dental Questions – Phoenix, AZ
Have questions about your dental care? Rather than searching the internet to get information that has nothing to do with your situation, all the knowledge you need can be found locally, right here at Carefree Dentistry. We’ve answered some of our most popular questions below, but if there is anything else you’d like to ask, you’re always welcome to give us a call.
We recommend coming to see us at least twice a year for a checkup and cleaning. Common dental problems develop very slowly, so this is often enough that we’re able to catch most issues early and take care of them before they cause any pain or lasting damage.
Try brushing and flossing with a lighter touch for a few days, and if the bleeding persists, go ahead and give us a call. This is often a symptom of early-stage gum disease, and we can treat it before it becomes much worse.
Most toothaches are caused by something being stuck between the teeth, a cavity, or a crack in the enamel. If rinsing and flossing around the tooth don’t solve the problem, then it’s time to come see us. You won’t be able to handle the other two issues on your own, but we can fix them right away to prevent the pain from progressing.
If you have a minor cavity, probably just one appointment, as this is the time it takes to place a tooth-colored filling. If the damage is more extensive, we may recommend fitting you for a crown instead, in which case the process usually requires two appointments.
